Project Description

Microsurgery lab (Nanyang technological University) has developed a novel robotic system for Automated Trophectoderm Biopsy for Pre-implantation genetic diagnosis replacing experienced embryologist. The computer vison software engineer will develop a new system digitizing the data allows automatic analysis of the images using computer vision techniques, turning routine manual procedures currently based on human expertise into a software problem.

Position 1 - Software Architecture Engineer

Job Description

The Senior Robotics Software Engineer will participate in the design and development effort for a new robotic system for Automated Trophectoderm Biopsy for Pre-implantation genetic diagnosis. The successful candidate will leverage cross functional expertise to understand and define the system and software architecture, and also to develop software, algorithms, and interfaces to help realize the design.

Responsibilities:

·     Applies skills in robotics system design, software development, control systems, sensor data integration, calibration, registration, and general engineering principles to develop a robotics system for Automated Trophectoderm Biopsy for Pre-implantation genetic diagnosis.

·     Interfaces with vendors, contractors, and clinicians to develop and realize design requirements.

·     Works within quality system environment to produce required technical and regulatory documentation. 

Qualifications

·     At least Masters degree in computer science, electrical engineering or related field.

·     3+ years software development experience in C++, primarily within a windows environment.

·     Experience in system design involving robotic technology components.

·     Understanding of control systems, including servo control, and data latency and other error impact effects.

·     Experience with sensor data integration and analysis.

Salary range

S$45,000 - 60,000/year

Position 2 - Computer Vision

Responsibilities:

·     Implementation of computer vision and pattern recognition system for detection, tracking and analysis

·     Development of visualization system on windows platform 

Qualifications

·     M.Eng/M.Sc degree in computer science, electrical engineering or related field.

·     C/C++ software development - Efficient algorithm development

·     Computer Vision - Object detection/recognition, scene understanding

·     Experience working with OpenCV, QT, VTK/ITK

Salary range

S$45,000 - 60,000/year

Position 3 – Image processing and fusion

Responsibilities:

·     Software Engineer needed for software development of an ultrasound      biopsy system

·     Design implementation and unit testing of image fusion libraries      by translating prototype or proof of concept (iterative) reconstruction      algorithms (Matlab) into product libraries (C++).

·     Design and implementation of library interfaces to application      software and provide support for unit integration.

·     Collaborate with the Physics, Treatment Delivery, Embedded      Software, and Hardware engineering teams

·     Some travel (<10%) may be required.

Qualifications:

·     At least M.Eng/M.Sc in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Computer      Engineering or related engineering discipline

·     Strong applied mathematics and/or physics background

·     Strong knowledge of image processing, image analysis, scientific      computing.

·     3+ years’ experience implementing high performance computing      algorithms in languages such as C++.

·     Experience with multi-threading, parallel processing, GPU, high      performance computing

·     Experience with Medical Device or Regulated environment preferred.

Salary range

S$45,000 - 60,000/year

本医疗器械公司正在研发全自动化PGD/PGS活检机器人，公司位于新加坡，由南洋理工大学牵头创办。

公司属于初创公司，但是因为校企合作的关系，候选人的职位可以是新加坡南洋理工大学Research Engineer，也可以在新加坡政府基金支持的初创公司，所以无需担忧公司的生存情况。感兴趣的同学也可以另外再跟我沟通交流。
